BOLD creates pathways for you to turn your passion into action! 

     BOLD is:

  • A nonprofit board leadership training program designed for new and aspiring board members
  • Run by the Leadership Council for Nonprofits and its 200+ members
  • Taught by the Tristate’s most respected nonprofit leaders
  • Focused on personalized mentoring and making connections/placement

We are planning to offer at least one session of BOLD Next Level in 2026, the “201” level of BOLD for more experienced board members. To learn more and make sure we notify you of the dates, click here.

Every Thursday is about becoming a BOLD leader

           Sept. 10 - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm (In person with lunch)

           Sept. 17 - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm (In person with lunch)

           Sept. 24 - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm (In person with lunch)

           Oct. 1 - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm (In person with lunch and cake!)

Tuition

$700 standard rate

$450 nonprofit organizations (non-Leadership Council member)

$300 for staff or board of Leadership Council for Nonprofits members 

$300 for current paid members of Black Achievers

(A $50 deposit will be required regardless of tuition level)

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are granted in each cohort with a priority on people of color. If you are not awarded a scholarship and choose not to participate, your $50 deposit will be refunded. Contact BOLD Program Director Jay Shatz:  jshatz@leadershipcouncil.us.
