Gen Z in the Workplace in the Cincinnati Region
In late 2024, The Cincinnati Regional Chamber's Workforce Innovation Center and Leadership Center released "Gen Z in the Workforce in the Cincinnati Region, Part I: The University Track." Our presenters will review the findings of this first of two papers, focused on those who have or are pursuing a four year bachelor’s degree or above, as we know that they are a vital part of the current and future work environment. Much has been said about this group in the media. Their perspectives are unique, having grown up during the Great Recession, in the era of smart phones and social media, and facing the challenges of navigating school and work as young people in a global pandemic. Their experiences give them distinct perspectives that we should seek to understand. Does this group represent a challenge for the nonprofit industry, or a golden opportunity to attract a socially conscious workforce?
Research is currently underway for a second report focused on members of Gen Z who did not pursue a four-year degree. That paper will be released in 2025.
