Chasing Success: A Conversation with Dr. Judith Van Ginkel
Leadership Council is proud to present a discussion with this well-known local nonprofit leader and now book author.
Join nonprofit strategist and leadership author, Judy Van Ginkel as she shares insights on positioning nonprofits as investment opportunities, creating accountability measures, and optimizing collaborations amongst like-minded nonprofits. Van Ginkel’s new book, Chasing Success: The Challenge for Nonprofits, is for readers interested in the changing landscape of nonprofit administration. Using examples from her 20 years of experience as founding president of Every Child Succeeds, a regional nonprofit located in Cincinnati, Ohio that focuses on home visitation and support for parents from pregnancy through the first one thousand days of their newborn's life, Van Ginkel’s insight is universally applicable whether your nonprofit focuses on the healthcare sector or another area of civic or public good. In this specially designed 90 minute discussion, Van Ginkel will offers concrete lessons about utilizing research and best practices, learning to be adaptable, and being accountable to stakeholders. Van Ginkel will also engage with your questions on how to navigate changing policies and funding priorities of national, state and federal stakeholders and how this impacts a regional nonprofit’s work to achieve their missions, an often underappreciated and under-discussed reality for many smaller organizations around the country.
A nonprofit strategist, Van Ginkel is winner of the prestigious AARP Purpose Prize and has also been named a great Living Cincinnatian. In this leader-to-leader conversation, Van Ginkel will be interviewed by Leadership Council past chair Jennifer Loeb, Chief Executive Officer, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati.
