Anti-Harassment Training: Legal Insights, Investigations, and Prevention Strategies for Nonprofits
Join us to hear from the experts at Thompson Hine on important issues faced by nonprofit employers. Each 1-hour session gives an overview of the latest legal developments, practical solutions, and a chance for you to ask your questions live.
This anti-harassment training equips managers with the knowledge and tools to navigate legal responsibilities, conduct effective investigations, and foster a respectful workplace culture. Through practical guidance and real-world insights, participants will learn how to prevent issues before they escalate and respond confidently when they arise.
Key topics covered:
Legal Basics: Definitions of harassment under Title VII and state law.
Recent Developments: EEOC enforcement priorities, key court decisions, and challenges arising in remote and digital workspaces.
Employer Responsibilities: Liability standards, investigation protocols, and the importance of timely, well-documented responses to complaints.
Effective Investigations: Core steps, confidentiality considerations, and when to involve counsel or external investigators.
Prevention & Culture: Training best practices, leadership accountability, bystander engagement, and proactive measures to stop issues early.
