Part-Time Program & Communications Associate
(15 hours/week)

The Program & Communications Associate will play a critical role in supporting the successful implementation of PBPO’s programs, initiatives, and external communications. They will provide administrative and operational support to the Manager of Program Operations and are expected to work 12-15 hours/week Monday-Thursday. This role will be a hybrid position with at least one part-time day expected in our downtown Cincinnati office.

Key Duties include: 

1. Communications

  • Draft quarterly e-newsletters, marketing for nonprofit educational electronic mailings, and other external communications.
  • Create digital content for PBPO’s social media (written & visual) and website.
  • Manage mass email communications.

2. Technology & Database Administration

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of PBPO’s CRM Salesforce database, including generating reports, ensuring data integrity, data quality monitoring, and database optimization.
  • Update and maintain accurate contact records and mailing lists across multiple platforms. Assist with identifying and resolving technology issues with email communications to major stakeholders.
  • Assist in data collection and entry, tracking, and reporting program outcomes. 

3. Program Administration

  • Assist in the planning, marketing, and execution of program activities and events.
  • Host PBPO-sponsored webinars using Zoom.
  • Update PBPO’s website with PBPO’s publications, events, resources, and data.  
  • Support fundraising or outreach efforts related to program activities, and general development administrative support as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering PBPO phones and responding to nonprofit inquiries and resource requests.

 4.     Other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Excellent written communication skills; marketing experience is a plus
  • Strong technology skills, including prior experience with data entry and generating reports; Salesforce experience is a plus; ability to learn new platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
  • Experience with drafting social media and digital content
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with strong time management skills and attention to detail

Salary: $24-27/hour DOE. Starting benefits include a 401(k) plan (with a 4% match after 1 year with minimum required hours), flexible schedule, and potential for hybrid/remote work with a minimum expectation of one day/week (Tuesday or Thursday) in our downtown Cincinnati office. POSITION DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Office Clerk is an administrative support position that will assist with the daily operations of the office by performing tasks such as making copies, restocking supplies, processing outgoing mail, closing case files, and filling in for various roles, including receptionist and intake specialist. The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially interacting with Legal Aid’s low-income clients
  • Ability to contribute to the reception and intake team effort by answering calls from clients

Position Purpose:

The Last Mile Driver ensures the safe and timely pickup and delivery of rescued food using LMFR vehicles, connecting local donors with community agencies across Greater Cincinnati. This part-time role is central to LMFR’s mission of reducing food waste and fighting hunger, with potential to grow into full-time as demand increases.

  • Assists with maintaining and organizing LMFR storage and facilities.

  • Uses LMFR and other apps on personal cell phone to complete rescues and communicate throughout the day.

Qualifications and Experience:  

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required). 
     
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (Required).  
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and submit to pre-employment screening (Required).  
  • Current driver’s license with good driving record. No moving violations within the past 12 months (Required). 

  • Comfortable driving or learning to drive large vans and box trucks (Required). 

 

Work Schedule & Requirements: 

  • Typical schedule is 8am-12pm, with occasional Saturday or holiday shifts as needed. Additional hours in the afternoon are often available but not guaranteed. 
  • The ability to lift 30-60 pounds regularly.  
  • Mild to heavy physical activity involving moving large objects, operating a pallet jack and sorting through food.

Overview

Last Mile Food Rescue is a bold, fast-growing nonprofit on a mission to eliminate wasted food and fight hunger. We leverage our app technology and community of volunteers, to deliver fresh, surplus food to those who need it most. We are looking for a highly organized and deadline-oriented Development Manager to join our team. This role supports fundraising implementation efforts with a focus on individual giving, donor data management, and small-scale grant writing. Key Responsibilities

  • Individual Giving & Donor Strategy
    • Support annual fundraising plans focused on individual donors, including appeals and renewals.
