“Becoming BOLD” is rooted in the idea that participation in a BOLD cohort is a transformational experience. Participants enter the program with the heart and passion to serve and exit the program armed with the expertise, knowledge, and connections to serve boldly.  

Who should apply?

We believe all board members are board leaders, not just those who happen to be board officers.  This training is for anyone who desires to learn how to be a better board member.  This includes individuals with no board experience to those currently serving on a board. 

 Program Overview

  • 6 sessions with topics like legal responsibilities, fund development, outcome measurements, the nonprofit landscape, board roles and more!
  • Exclusive access to board placement opportunities through BoardBank and CincinnatiCares
  • Two cohorts in the fall comprised of 30 participants each
  • BOLD cohort 1, Thursdays between August 22nd - September 26th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • BOLD cohort 2, Thursdays between October 10th - November 14th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Networking opportunities to meet leaders in the corporate and nonprofit t sectors

Participation Fee

  • $650 for corporations
  • $250 for nonprofit staff and current board members of Leadership Council members
  • $400 Nonmembers of Leadership Council

Application Process

  • Applications will be available on the Leadership Council for Nonprofits website on June 21st
